Berlin Composers CONCERTS IN THE BOX in Berlin presented on the 28.4 Matt Rubinstein and the artists of the November Group: concert in Friedrichshain cinema, art, Cabaret: everyone knows that Berlin was a world city in upheaval in the twenties. That was the German capital also in the term, to replace Vienna and Paris as a Mecca of musical avant-garde, is perhaps slightly less well known. The majority of the then most daring and talented composers of Berlin, as well as poet or painter, wanted to mobilize the art for a very different society after the catastrophe of the first world war. When the revolution of November 1918 came to end, artist, architect, poet, and musician in numerous forums, clubs, councils, and groups gathered to bring the new arts of a new social order. The most important and most prominent of this group of artists in the Weimar era was the November Group, which founded also a music section in 1922. Young, politically and experimental sound artists of the November Group were still best known members, Hanns Eisler and Kurt Weill were. Ninety years after the emergence of the November Group Matt Rubenstein presents us some lesser-known clay artist of this artist Association: Heinz Tiessen, Wladimir Vogel and Philipp Jarnach. "In addition to the revolutionaries of the last century, Matt Rubenstein plays pieces a musically as revolutionary Berlin predecessor: the piano sonatas of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, an early avant-garde" of keyboard music.
